How To Get an Arizona CCW Permit
Arizona is well-known for its gun-friendly laws and support for the Second Amendment. In Arizona, residents are allowed to carry a concealed firearm without a permit, known as “constitutional carry.” However, there are still benefits to obtaining a Concealed Carry Weapon (CCW) permit in Arizona. These benefits include
- Reciprocity with other states
- Faster firearm purchases
- Ability to carry in certain restricted areas
Our courses are specifically designed to equip you with the necessary knowledge and skills to carry a concealed weapon in Arizona, ensuring safety and responsible behavior.
- Be a resident of Arizona or a U.S. citizen.

The application fee for an Arizona CCW permit is $60 for new applicants and $43 for renewals. The processing time for an application is up to 60 days, during which a background check will be conducted. If approved, you will receive your CCW permit in the mail. If denied, you will receive a letter explaining the reason for the denial.
To renew your Arizona CCW permit, you must submit a renewal application before the expiration date. The renewal process is similar to the initial application process, but you do not need to complete a firearms safety training course again.
